It was sixty years ago today that North Korean troops launched an attack across the 38th Parallel. The resulting conflict devastated the peninsula. Unfortunately, that war never ended. It is my sincere hope that the events so long ago, never repeat themselves.

  1. I saw there were fresh wreaths laid at the monument to Canada’s role in that war, which is a statue on one corner of the Legislature grounds here. I know a guy who’s father fought in the Korean War.

    • I find that Koreans are very respectful of those that came to their aide.

      • Yeah, that friend I’m talking about taught English in Korea for a while, and he said that a Korean guy bought him dinner once when he said that his father fought in the war.
