The QiRanger Adventures

Things move fast….

Wow! I can’t believe how quickly things are moving. I mean, I knew things were going to pick up and move forward, but things are really flying now.

You see, while I was trying to get a job in Hong Kong, there just weren’t any available. So I decided to go with South Korea. That was Tuesday.

Today (Thursday), I have an interview with a school just outside of Seoul. I’m pretty jazzed about this, as it looks like I’ll be able to start mid-June, which is what I desire (providing all the VISA stuff comes through). It’s an Elementary School, 30 hours per week, 45 minute class sessions, and small classes to boot. Should be a good time. Plus, the city has Korea’s largest and most popular amusement park. EPIC WIN!

One thing that has been on my mind of late, has been my neighbors. I say this because our street is a lot of fun. Everyone knows each other and it’s common to hang out on the driveway and throw back a few beers on the weekend. As with every neighborhood, there are people you like and people you like not-so-much.

There is a couple that lives across the street that I’ve known for eight years. She was an office admin and he worked in the semi-conductor business. Both worked downtown and would either drive together or separately. Here’s the odd thing: for the last two months, their cars have been parked in their driveway. Sure, maybe they’ll move them once every few days (assumingly to go to the store for food), but other than that, they stay locked in their house and not move one bit! It’s strange. No picking weeds, No putting out the trash. No walking to mail box. Last week, two of their cars were orange-tagged for being parked on the street too long by the local PD.

Makes you wonder if everything is all right. But I do see them both out and about some times. It’s just odd. Their son is the only one I see with any kind of regularity, since he works at the Best Buy 2 miles away.

Just odd.

Oh, it’s 1st May! That means Iron Man comes out tomorrow. Woot! I’m seeing a 09:30 show at the AMC, since the theater has a $5 deal. Should be a great way to start the weekend off.

Cheers all!
